Pitcher
Throws Molotov cocktails that create burning areas and uses fiery breath at close range.
Screamer
Its scream causes a brief period of confusion when you enter its detection range.

Leaderboards
Weekly and Endless have separate leaderboards, ranked by peak Trial reached with total run time as the tiebreaker.
Save Progress
Only the host holds the run's save, recorded after successful Trials; the September 2026 update adds save restoration after a disconnection or crash.
Trial 21+
Damage persists for the remainder of the run and revives are unavailable under the September 2026 rules.
The Outlast Trials Invasion Guide
Learn the Reagent and Imposter roles in the game's PvP Invasion mode. Understand survival priorities, Imposter gadgets, and the settings that control invasions outside the dedicated mode.

Choose this role at the Sleep Room Terminal to invade Trials and hunt player-controlled Reagents.
Mimic
Adopt a Reagent's appearance; holding the fake item helps you blend in and prevents Reagents from pinging you.
Neuroshock
Throw a projectile that briefly disrupts a Reagent and disables their Rig.
Invasion Privacy
Genesis and Event Trials can be invaded when their Invasion setting is Allow or Friends only.
